Here I will share a new build in Diablo 4, Hydra Conjuration Sorcerer. This build works really well in high level Nightmare Dungeons solo or in groups. Next, I will introduce Skill Tree, Aspects and Paragon Board required for this build. This guide will cover everything you need to know about this build.
Gameplay
This build will be an excellent leveling build in Diablo 4 Season 1. We will first use a Paragon Board to increase our crit damage and increase our Intelligence. Because we have almost 1300 Intelligence and almost 200 crit damage in this build. So all of this combined makes this build feel good to use.
It’s also a really great Controller building. But I’d say the downside of this build is that it’s only in Controller that can suppress enemies. You need to keep recasting them to get D4 Gold into the suppressor bubble.
But as long as you have the cooldown, you can teleport in and freeze them. It’s just the ones you might not grab right away, and then they become unstoppable. If you run, you’ll know when an enemy becomes unstoppable. Because you apply so many CC to them.
Also, this build does really well against bosses. Because this build has such a high stun potential that you can easily stun the boss and then deal a lot of damage.
The most important is that you hardly need to use mana in this build. Since Lightning Sphere and Blades are cooling down, the only mana we need to use is our Hydra. But it doesn’t take much mana at all, and they’re pretty quick to place.
Gear & Legendary Aspects
The first thing we’ll talk about is gear. First, you need to spend more Diablo 4 Gold on your armor to upgrade your armor. Because armor is much better than resistance. It will not only reduce your damage but also increase the damage you deal to elites. Then, for helmets, you’ll also look for extra Intelligence points to increase Crowd Control Duration.
Then to our boots, we need Flame Shield to allow us to move unhindered and to immobilize enemies.
We also have level four Frost Nova here. This helps us calm down, but you need enough Intelligence to trigger. Also, this increases our Stunned, Frozen or Immobilized damage by 70%. You want to make sure you finish upgrading all your gear to its fullest potential.
Then for each Aspects of the weapon. You’ll first want to look at the powers of all Diablo 4 Items to make sure you’re getting the highest possible damage items. Then you’re also looking for critical hit damage. This also increases the burn damage of our Legendary Nodes and Paragon Board.
You can also run Edgemaster’s Aspect here, which means the more resources you have, the more damage you can do to them all. Because we are almost always at our maximum resource, we will get the most benefit from it.
Then, don’t forget to look for Devouring Blaze on your amulet. Because this increases our crit damage, which increases our burn damage. And it will increase Hydra’s damage to burning enemies when we are in other states.
Finally, on Serpentine Loop you also get 100% crit chance for vulnerable to damage. In every way, the ring is a mandatory Diablo 4 Item for this build. Otherwise, you’ll take more damage than their total health.
Skill Tree
Next we have to talk about the skill tree for this build. I’ve invested a portion of Diablo 4 Gold in every skill, just for power. That way, I can also swap them in and out.
First, we must take our defenses seriously. That’s why we’re going with Flame Shield, Teleport and Frost Nova. We got healing from our Flame Shield, reduced our damage by 30% when teleporting, and suffered vulnerable to damage from our Frost Nova. You can also plug as many skill points into Frost Nova as it will lower your cooldown.
Also, our Glass Cannon skill is very useful against high level Nightmare Dungeons. Especially if you have a high Lucky Hit Chance, it gives your defense a boost for a short amount of time. We also have Align The Elements and Protection. This helps us gain barrier and deal more damage when teleporting while frozen.
Then, moving on to more passive skills in Skill Tree, we have Inner Flames, Devouring Flames and Crippling Flames. This will also help us keep enemies immobilized.
If we don’t choose Ultimate, we also have Esu’s Ferocity for more crit damage. But you can go to Combustion or Shatter is another good option too.
Paragon Board
Let’s start with a quick look at glyphs and board combos. The first starting board we choose needs to give us Conjure damage and increase the duration. This point is very important.
The next thing to choose is Control Glyph. This brings us damage to Crowd Control enemies, and increased damage to slowed or chilled enemies. We have a lot of flexibility in that node.
The most important one is Burning Instinct Node. If you want it to do as much damage as possible, that means you have to up your critical strike damage and your Intelligence. Therefore, it is very important to convert Paragon Points into your Intelligence. You can improve your Intelligence as much as possible with this build.
Another required Paragon Board is Enchantment Master. We can increase non-physical damage through this Node, and the damage to enemies will also increase by 15%.
The next thing we need to get is Searing Heat Node and Flamefeeder. Touching fire here will damage burning enemies, and it adds a lot of fire damage to us. Note that these Nodes here are crit damage. So we get 30% crit damage between those three nodes.
Finally, we got Legendary Paragon Node, Elemental Summoner on the next board. This increases our skill damage. This way we can get a lot of vulnerable nodes. We can easily get this Legendary Node, but it’s really hard to get all Paragon Boards we need for this build.
Final Thoughts
That’s what this Hydra Conjuration Sorcerer build is all about. I love Summoner build, but it’s a little different for Sorcerer build that I’ve been running and having a lot of fun with. So, let’s see how it fares in Diablo 4 Season 1.
